Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service
The Leadership Message Workshop
One Leadership Message. One shared language. Stronger connection across the Service.
Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service wanted to embed their new Leadership Message across the organisation — in a way that felt inclusive, practical and instantly usable in everyday conversations.
Using Clarity4D and the language of colour, we developed a bespoke experiential workshop for all colleagues that strengthened self-awareness, communication and connection across teams, roles and departments — from the very first session.
What we delivered
- A bespoke Leadership Message Workshop, designed to embed MFRS's vision, purpose and values across the whole Service
- Built around a custom MFRS Clarity4D profile and the shared language of colour
- Designed to strengthen communication, inclusion and collaboration at every level
- Delivered across the Service to outstanding feedback.
What we did
We partnered with key stakeholders to design and deliver an energising, colourful, inclusive workshop that brought the MFRS Leadership Message and behaviours to life for all colleagues.
- This one-day workshop included:
- A focus on embedding MFRS’s Vision, Values, Purpose, Aims and Behaviours
- A custom made MRFS Clarity4D profile for each colleague to strengthen self-awareness and communication
- Inclusive activities that helped teams recognise and value different strengths
- Space for discussion, reflection and real-world application
- A bespoke approach aligned to the MFRS culture and context.
How it went
The impact was felt from day one. Colleagues left with a shared language that made communication differences easy to spot — and even easier to talk about. Conversations became clearer, more consistent and more aligned to the Service’s values. Four months later, 75% of participants were still actively using the language of colour in their everyday leadership moments.
- In a nutshell
- Strong engagement and confidence were established from day one
- A shared language was introduced that improved collaboration across the Service
- Clear, more consistent conversations throughout the Service aligned to their culture and values
- Colleagues left with practical takeaways that translated into everyday behaviours.
What they said
“When we set out looking for training partners to deliver our Leadership Message, we were looking for credibility and professionalism, combined with fun, energy and enthusiasm. That’s exactly what we got…
Using the ‘colours’ from Clarity4D also helped everyone to recognise the unique contributions they bring and created conversations and collaborations across the Service…
I would absolutely recommend partnering with them.”
