Meet Kerry Lockyer

Founder, people development expert and chief Oomph-giver

Kerry’s career began in retail after graduating with a Food Marketing degree (yes, that’s really a degree!). But she quickly discovered that her real passion wasn’t products, it was people. Understanding them. Supporting them. Helping them realise what they’re capable of.

That curiosity became a calling.

And 27 years later, she still wakes up excited about helping people transform how they think, work and lead.

Kerry’s approach to learning and development is engaging, high-energy, practical and deeply human. She creates environments where people feel safe to stretch themselves, challenge old patterns and discover new strengths.

She’s worked across guest service, sales, operations and leadership, and knows what makes teams and businesses thrive because she’s been there, done it, and learned what actually works.

Her practical, people-focused approach brings communication and collaboration to life in every session.

As an accredited practitioner in colour profiling and a Clarity4D Business Partner, Sarah uses powerful tools to boost self-awareness and help teams grow stronger together. Every programme she creates is thoughtfully tailored to reflect each business’s unique vision, values and goals, ensuring relevant, lasting impact.

The Empathy Coach

Neil is an Associate with Oomph who has been developing people and leaders for over two decades, working with and for massive brands including Vodafone, Royal Sun Alliance, The DFS Group, The Football Association and many more.

Since 2015, Neil has explored the deeper side of human behaviour: empathy, self-awareness, and emotional intelligence. This exploration sparked his passion for personal discovery, reflection and wellbeing, and it’s won him awards for both his learning solutions and business acumen.

  • MBTI Step 2 Practitioner (since 2012)
  • Master Coach since 2020 (Chartered Management Institute, Level 7 Coaching & Mentoring)
  • Qualified Mindfulness and Meditation teacher with the British School of Meditation

Oomph was born from a realisation that traditional training often doesn’t create lasting change. People can sometimes leave a workshop buzzing, only to fall back into old habits within days.

Workshops are the spark, not the solution.

Real behavioural change is built in what happens around the learning — over time, through deep understanding, and in the environment people work in every day.

So, Kerry created Oomph Learning & Development to bring together psychology, colour profiling, behavioural insight and strategic business experience into learning that’s memorable, meaningful and genuinely transformative.
